\"In September 2018, the World Health Organization launched the Global Initiative for Childhood Cancer, aiming to eliminate all forms of suffering and pain for children undergoing cancer treatment and to achieve a global survival rate of at least 60% for all children diagnosed with cancer by 2030. This effort is expected to save approximately one million children's lives over the next decade.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Implementing this initiative requires significant human, intellectual, and financial resources. Countries that have joined the initiative\u2014including the Republic of Moldova\u2014have committed to providing whatever support is necessary to help achieve these major objectives. St. Jude Children\u2019s Research Hospital<\/a> \u2014one of the largest pediatric oncology hospitals in the USA\u2014was designated as the WHO Collaborating Centre for the initiative's implementation. For over 60 years, through its research and treatment efforts, St. Jude Hospital has helped raise childhood cancer survival rates from 20% to 80%, and even to 94% for certain types of cancer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital shares its extensive experience with medical centers worldwide that treat children with cancer through the St. Jude Global Alliance,<\/a>organizing conferences, seminars, and training sessions, and participating in clinical studies and research. At the same time, alongside the need to strengthen medical capabilities, the importance of raising societal awareness regarding support for pediatric cancer care was highlighted. Consequently, St. Jude expanded its assistance to include organizations that support the medical institutions treating children with cancer.
The \"Life Without Leukemia\" Association is among the first 15 non-profit organizations worldwide invited to join the St. Jude Global Alliance;<\/a>this positions the Republic of Moldova among the nations with significant potential to advance the field of pediatric oncology. Over the past three years, the Association\u2019s work has been supported, encouraged, and promoted by ALSAC, the organization that provides the necessary support for the operation of St. Jude Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
